Can I install itunes on both my pc and laptop and use my external hard drive?

I want to have the option to manage my music and ipod from home or my office. Can I connect my ext HDD to either my PC or laptop to manage my music and ipod via itunes?

    Yes why not?

    its just a program. But the music will be on what pc you have it on.

    Yes that should work fine so long as you set your music folder to a path located on the external hard drive, and each installation points to the correct place when the hard drive is plugged in (i.e., the external hard drive may get assigned a different drive letter depending on whether it is plugged into the laptop or desktop).

    Yes. You can have a single library and manage it from up to 5 computers, I believe. I know it’s more than 2. I do a similar thing and have had no issues.
