I recently bought a 250GB Western Digital Hard drive from ebay (second hand). it is in good condition and i am confident that there is nothing wrong with it. It came without a partition, so my first action was to use a 98 boot disk and run fdisk. I thought everything was ok, until i went to format it. the stupid computer says it is only 127gb. i formatted it anyway, but it said there was an error and it is unformattable. I then deleted the partition and re-created it. the maximum space it will use for the partition is 65536MB. I noticed that this is the range of an integer on the computer, so the problem might be a limitation on microsoft’s behalf. There must be a way to partition the whole 250gb.PLease, does anyone know how to do it? (note: i have no floppy drive, but can get one if i need it. I can partition it in master or slave. my primary hard disk is running xp pro)

Reformatting drive C?

my laptop’s drive C is 10 gigabytes and my drive D is 30 gigabytes. I would like to reformat my Hard Disk to its original state of 40 gigabytes that means deleting the Drive D? How can I reformat Drive C when the operating system is in this Drive? please help me because i cannot install some programs in drive C.

Okay I Installed Photoshop Elements in my computer, and every time I use it My Main hard drive’s space drops. I just want to know If it a good idea to use a spare hard drive for photoshop elements?
I mean from is this. should I use a spare hard drive as a scratch disk.

when i double click to open C or D drives on the hard disk i get a message saying SYS.EXE file is not found ?

The only way to open C or D drives is right click and then open. how can i fix this problem? help please

i have a just bought a seagate 320gb sata internal hard drive. and connected it to the mercury pi945gcm motherboard. but in my bios instead of showing 320gb space , it is showing 298gb memory available. pls help me
