if so, what should i do, or what software shall i use?
2 Commentsthis ide has windows installed, i was using it and suddenly it restarted and couldn’t load windows anymore, the pc can’t recognize there is a drive.
when i put it as slave the new hardware wizard recognizes it and installs it, but i can’t see it in my pc, so i can’t access to my files, so i think i lost the partition, is it possible to get it back?

Change IDE to SATA on already installed xp pro?

In my computer i only have 1 hard disk, 1 DVD-RW, and no floppy drives. The hard disk is hooked into the motherboard by a SATA cable and not and IDE. When i tried to install XP Pro it at first didn’t detect my hard disk. I went into BIOS and changed the drive type to IDE from SATA in order for it to show up in installation screen of XP Pro. XP runs fine like it is setup, but i want the drive type to say SATA in the BIOS instead of IDE. Is there anyway to do this?

Installing Jumper settings on a DVD drive with a Sata hard drive?

Ok so iam thinking of building a computer with a IDE DVD ROM drive in it and having a SATA hard drive. What would be the Jumper Settings for the DVD ROM DRIVE? because i know that for the SATA hard drive you dont have to set the jumper settings! Would it be master for the dvd rom drive??? and what channel would i install it to?? IDE 1 or IDE 2??? Please answer my question! 10 points goes out for whoever answers!

I Have two internal Hard Drive one IDE (windows installed on it) and another is Serial ATA Hard Drive . 6 days ago my sata hard drive begin to make noise and yesterday it smashed , and when i wanted to open that i receive error that said your drive is not formated ? i had 120 gb only music on it , and i didn’t get any backup from that 
is there way to access to datas and move them to new hard drive ?

How can I adapt my new 2.5″ SATA Internal Drive to work on my IDE Mac Mini?

I bought a Hitatchi Travelstar 2.5″ 7200RPM 200GB internal drive for my Mac Mini but did not know that my Mini runs off a IDE connection. The new drive is SATA. I am replacing the busted factory HD so I can’t just stick it in a case and use it externaly. The mini is the 1.42ghz G4. I know the new ones are SATA. any one want to buy this thing?!?!?
